Dolly shoes

One of the good things about having small feet is that I can buy cute kids shoes. I found this pair of cute buckled dolly type shoes from a boot sale a few weeks ago for £5. They are brand new so it's a fair price. They are incredibly comfy and I am over the moon that I found them. I love pairing them up with lace socks and peter pan collar dresses. Bring on summer! *cough*

Monica's Vintage Fair

Yesterday me and Julia were selling at Monica's Vintage Fair again. It's such a great atmosphere and was by the far the busiest one. We always have a wonderful time at this event as everyone is very friendly and it's nice seeing regulars.

Here are some photos from the event.

The following two photos were taken by the lovely Rebecca, I originally met her last year when she bought a pinafore dress off me, and I commented on how amazing her Christmas jumper/cardigan was. You can check out her blog HERE.
Here is Julia and me (I look sooo bad). And the second photo shows how crazily busy the fair was!

Climate Revolution event

Hi all,
Thank you for all the well wishes about Cheesy the hamster. He's in a better place now in hamster heaven.

About a week ago I went to an event at the Vivienne Westwood store on Conduit Street. It was to highlight the Climate Revolution and bring more awareness to it. Daniel Lismore was there to face paint everyone and the idea of it was to unite people and to then send them off wearing the 'face of war' and to raise awareness. One of Vivienne Westwood's motto's is 'Buy less, choose well'. Which I think is a great motto to follow. Buying items of clothing which match a range of outfits is a great thing to do, long term it will save money and rather than wearing it once and forgetting about it, it will become a staple. Even plain clothing can look completely different with certain outfits. Here are a couple of photos from the event. I also met Ben Westwood, who is Vivienne Westwood's son. He brought along his dog Jackie who is absolutely adorable! You all know how much of an animal lover I am :)

RIP Cheesy the hamster

Last week I checked on my hamster Cheesy and noticed he had an enlarged, gunky eye, it literally looked as though it was popping out the socket. We took him to the vets and got some antibiotics and he eventually had his eye removed. He survived the operation and I felt as though I could breath again and the stress slowly drifted away. But unfortunately despite the fact he was running around and seemed as though he was returning to his normal self; last night he took a turn for the worse and was walking extremely slowly and off-balanced. He couldn't open his remaining eye and wouldn't eat. This morning Mike woke me up before he left for woke and broke the news to me that Cheesy didn't make it through the night. I'm devastated. He was only around 9 months old.
RIP CHEESY
Here are some photos of him, the first one from when we first purchased him as a baby and the second is the last photo I took of him just after he had his eye removed.

New tattoo

I last got a tattoo 5 years ago on my 18th Birthday, I got a Hello Kitty on my wrist which I adore! I've been wanting another one ever since but couldn't stick to one idea, but back in January I finally decided and got a vintage style cartoon of a cat in a tea cup. The placement of it is above my knee on my left leg. It's quite big, just under 7 inches. It took 4 and a half hours to complete. There isn't really a story behind the tattoo, I love cats (currently have one) and I love tea cups, they remind me of my wedding as it was shabby chic themed and we had a lot of vintage tea cups and plates. Overall I am very happy with it and can't wait till summer comes along so I can show it off.
