Outfit of the day-8 year anniversary

Hi all,
This is what I wore yesterday to go for afternoon tea with Mike. We have two special anniversaries every year. Our wedding anniversary which is in September and our anniversary for how long we've been together, which was yesterday. 8 years together! I was 15 and Mike was 17 when I asked him out (Yes, I asked him out. Girl power!). Anyway, I feel a bit self-conscious about these photos as I've gained weight since getting married last year, so am in the process of losing it.
Dress-Topshop, Cardigan-Peacocks, Bag-Topshop, Creepers-Camden.

We always go to the same place for afternoon tea, it's a 10 minute drive away and is always empty. On a Saturday there is usually a piano player as well. It's such a lovely place!

As part of my present Mike got me some macaroons and tea from Laduree. I've already eaten all the macaroons and am working my way through the tea. I love the packaging as well and will be using them to display in my room.

Outfit of the day

This is what I wore on Saturday. Me and Mike went to a small boot sale which wasn't very good and then we collected an Ebay item, which I later ended up returning, grrr.
Lace peter pan collar top-boot sale, River Island polka dot dungarees- boot sale.

I'm a sucker for a peter pan collar. They are so versatile and this particular one goes so well with these River Island polka dot dungarees which I got from a boot sale last week. I actually tried on this exact pair when they were being sold in-store so when I found them for a mere £1.00 I bought them without hesitation. Correct size and everything, it was meant to be. At 22 years old I don't think I will ever grow out of polka dots. I even have another pair of polka dot dungarees in a similar style from Topshop which I purchased when I used to work for them.

Outfit of the day

This is what I wore to run a few errands today. Sorry for the terrible iphone photos, it was actually raining outside and I couldn't be bothered to fetch my camera from upstairs lol.
Pink jacket-Lipsy, Dress-Primark, Bag-Vivienne Westwood, Socks-Topshop, Knock off creepers-Ebay.

The pink jacket is my most recent purchase. I rarely purchase anything brand new nowadays unless it's a gift or something amazing which this truly is. I've been looking for a pink jacket for a while now and this ticks all the boxes. It's made of a denim material but is in the style of a leather jacket. I only found this through chance as I would never usually step foot in Lipsy but just so happened to walk past and the jacket caught my eye through the window, and even better as it was in the sale for £27 down from £45.
Also, some of you may have noticed I haven't posted my usual 'what's on over the weekend' post. This is because I have decided to stop writing them up as I am pretty much repeating myself every weekend as there aren't many jumble sales on at the moment. Hope this is okay, less spam for your eyes then hehe.

7 year anniversary & outfit of the day

Whilst everyone was celebrating the Jubilee, me and Mike had our own little celebrations as yesterday was our 7 year anniversary. Today we went for afternoon tea nearby which also seemed to fit in very well with the Jubilee. Unfortunately the weather was awful, hence why I didn't bother posting the Bank Holiday boot sales as they were all cancelled anyway.

Cardigan-Boot sale, Dress- Madam Sangrila, Bag-Vivienne Westwood, Tights-Vivienne Westwood, Bow flats-Topshop.

The cardigan was a recent boot sale purchase, I was a bit unsure of purchasing it at first because it's brown which I struggle to match but it turned out to be a really good purchase. I love how slouchy and baggy it is and it only cost £1.00. The dress is another recent purchase from one of my favourite little shops in Camden called Madam Sangrila, it's a quirky little shop full of unique dresses. Let's hope the sunny weather makes a return so I can wear this with cute little lace socks.

Outfit of the day

T-shirt-Boot sale, Shorts-Boot sale, Vans-Boot sale, Cath Kidston backpack-Ebay.

It's been a gloomy few days hasn't it? I've been wearing slouchy clothing recently, no point wearing pretty dresses when I'm just going to have to cover up with a coat and hood. Majority of my outfit is from a boot sale. I've jumped on the bandwagon of the crosses trend with my t-shirt, I feel a bit strange wearing it as I went to an all girls Catholic school so I'm not sure if I'm being a bit blasphemous. I couldn't say no though as it was only 50p. The denim shorts were also 50p although they are two sizes too big but I've decided to go back in time to my skater/grunger youth and bust slightly low and show off my wonderful star printed pants. I'm wearing a pair of Vans also which I purchased recently, they cost £3 and are really comfy and good for my lazy days. The backpack is Cath Kidston but I purchased it from Ebay, it's so cute!
Also, have you noticed there are no face shots? My hair is a mess and I was wearing no make-up. See, I told you it was a slouchy, lazy day.

Outfit of the day

Cardigan-Boot sale, Dress-Primark, Hello Kitty slippers-H&M kids.

How is everyone's bank holiday weekend so far?
Me and Mike haven't done much. The weather today isn't too great and although we had quite a few plans to tidy the house, we've been very lazy and have just chilled out in the living room.
The photos were taken earlier today. I am loving my little vintage knitted cardigan, it only cost 50p and it isn't itchy which is a huge plus! The grey dress is a replica of the Topshop version, I love it so much as it's so versatile and it was only £8 which is a steal compared to the £28 or so that Topshop is charging. I was really lucky to find this as I usually don't bother with Primark as I find it too much effort going there. Does anyone else find this with Primark?

Outfit of the day

Coat-Jovonnista via Ebay, Faux fur collar-Accessorize, Jumper-Zara, Lace collar blouse-Miss Selfridge, Polka Dot Skirt-Zara via charity shop, Boater hat broach-Charity shop, Creepers-Underground, Bag-Vivienne Westwood.

This is what I wore to pop over to Greenwich. The coat was a major steal at £5.20 including postage, I had to resew a button or two but apart from that it's great! I think the reason why I got it so cheap was because the seller simply listed the coat as 'ladies winter coat-size 8'. They also spelt the name of the designer wrong in the description. I did some research on this particular coat and it still retails at £50-£85. Yay! I teamed the coat with this faux fur collar I bought from the Accessorize 70% off sale. The jumper was from the Zara sale and the lace blouse underneath is Miss Selfridge. I love teaming jumpers up with collars! The cute little boater hat broach was a recent purchase from a charity shop, it cost me £2.99. I wouldn't usually pay that much for a broach but I think it's so sweet. The polka dot skirt is originally Zara but I purchased it from a charity shop, it was a lucky find as I have been wanting this skirt for a while now.

Outfit of the day

Dress-Ebay

Finally got round to doing another 'outfit of the day'. Sorry for the bad quality images. Me and Mike went to Brighton today and I originally planned to get some photos outside but it was too cold and I'd probably take off with the wind. So we took these once we got home, bad lighting and bad hair. Not to mention my shoes are not in sight as I was standing on our bed. Ahh well, moving on. The dress was a recent purchase from Ebay. I absolutely love the shape, I am obsessed with babydoll style dresses so this is perfect and only cost me £5.70 including postage. I paired it with some black Underground creepers and a chunky knit cardigan.
We also did some major charity shopping, must have visited around 18 charity shops...which means tons of walking. We didn't buy anything worth mentioning. Found a lovely Cath Kidston table cloth but it had a stain on it and I wasn't really up for spending £7.99 on it, especially if the stain didn't come out. We popped over to a boot sale as well, bought some Hello Kitty items for 50p each but I won't bore you with that as I'll be writing for hours about my obsession.

Outfit of the day

White lace dress-Topshop, Bag-Vivienne Westwood, Navy velvet boots-Topshop.

This is what I wore last night to go shopping with a friend, all I bought was a cup though (haha!). Again, I am wearing that Topshop lace dress, paired with the navy velvet boots from Topshop which I mentioned in a previous post. The bag is from Vivienne Westwood, it's a really great bag as it comes with a long strap so it can be worn over the shoulder like a satchel, or as a handbag like in the photo, and is also quite spacious -Yay!

Outfit of the day

Cardigan-Camden, White lace dress-Topshop, Creepers-Office.

A somewhat awful quality photo taken on my iphone 4. My apologies for that, and also for my attempt of using an app to try and make the photo look slightly more decent by adding a vintage tone to it.
This is my bedroom, you may recognise the floorboards from other photos on my blog. My house is currently being rewired so we have had to take the carpet and furniture away so the electricians can get to the floorboards. The downside of this is that me and Mike are having to sleep in the spare room and our clothing and possessions are in boxes in various parts of the house. Rewiring the whole house is a long and tedious process. The only upside is that my bedroom makes great photo opportunities now that there is no furniture in it.
I love my lace Topshop dress, but the length is very annoying. I have to wear shorts with it as it is just too short. Bare in mind I am 5,5-5,6 so am not really tall or anything. The creepers I bought second hand online, they were in brand new condition (originally from Office) and only cost me around £8. I did have another pair of creepers which were black with pink leopard print but I stupidly sold them a few years ago...little did I know that they were going to be very in fashion years later. Let's just say I sold them for ridiculously cheap and regret it.
Oh and say hi to my cat!

Outfit of the day

Faux leather jacket- Ebay, Polka dot dress- Topshop, Dr Martens- Ebay.

So it's about time I did an 'outfit of the day' post. I have been meaning to do one of these for so long now, so I am glad I have finally gotten round to it.
The faux leather jacket was a recent purchase of mine from Ebay. It is actually a kid's jacket age 10-11 and only cost around £10 including the postage, it's the perfect fit and I can't stop wearing it. I never used to dig the whole leather jacket look and have only recently converted. I think owning one is a staple in every girl's wardrobe because it completes an outfit and looks great with cute dresses. I am so pleased with this buy!
